Straight from the Heart [a poem]

Hello friend,

This is a poem my friend composed and an illustration I made for the poem: Hope it strikes a chord in your heart. Enjoy!

My God, My heart
My God, My heart

When life’s road seem so skewed,
And my travels seem so screwed,
There’s no other way to get things straight,
Than by being straight from the heart.

Out here, it’s all chilly and cold,
Yet, you have been my companion of old,
You keep me warm when I’m lonely,
When I’m straight from the heart.

Your letters are my greatest treasure,
Your soothing words bring unending pleasure,
Reading them is like reading your mind,
Because they are straight from your heart.

The heart is like Bluetooth
My cue and clue to your hidden truth
I will never be out of touch
When I’m straight from the heart.

God’s blessings,
