Seize the day

Hello,

It’s a common experience of many young people to reach the end of the day and wonder, “what new productive thing have I achieved today?” Many will find nothing added to their lives. Asides from the normal mundane activities of daily living, and a little mischief, many teenagers aren’t proud of their day. They want something to be different.

They want to feel good about having achieved something significant. Behind the indifferent fascie many young people wear lies the desire to influence someone positively. But alas, society’s low expectations beat them back to the rat race. Every day.

If you feel the sameway as I have explained,  there is hope!
It isn’t only you that desires to live each day fulfilled. Tons of teenagers around the world feel similar to you.  And God does too!

His word says,

“Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.”
Ephesians 5:15-17 AMP

God wants you to live purposefully and worthily. The way to do that is to make most of evry time. And this involves fully understanding amd grasping what God wants you to do.

God has promised to guide your day and show you what to do if you ask him. See what proverbs 3:5-6 says:

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God ’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. “

So you can confidently start each day, asking God to guide and lead you in your activities. Think deeply of ways you can add  value to yourself, and bring a smile to someone’s face.

It helps to put your thoughts to paper so you can track your progress.

You can make this your daily mantra-

“This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. What I do today is very important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving something in its place I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, not loss — good, not evil. Success, not failure in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it.”

Cheers!
