The more I seek you.

Hi,

Wow! This song I want to share with you registered with my heart the first day I listened to it. It portrays the desire that every child of God should have: To long for more of Christ’s presence and love everyday. It’s sung by Kari Jobe – you can check up her site for info: karijobe.com.

The more i seek you, the more i find you.

The more i find you, the more I love you

I wanna sit at your feet drink from the cup in your hand. Lay back against you and breath, hear your heart beat

This love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand. I melt in your peace, it’s overwhelming

The more i seek you, the more i find you.

The more i find you, the more I love you

I wanna sit at your feet drink from the cup in your hand. Lay back against you and breath, hear your heart beat

This love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand. I melt in your peace, it’s overwhelming

I wanna sit at your feet drink from the cup in your hand. Lay back against you and breath, hear your heart beat

This love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand. I melt in your peace, it’s overwhelming

I wanna sit at your feet drink from the cup in your hand. Lay back against you and breath, hear your heart beat

This love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand. I melt in your peace…

My Desire

My Desire

Dear Friend,

I desire that when people read my life, they hear the voice of Christ speaking to them and see His arms stretched out to them.

I desire that God’s word will reflect in every area of my life – my walk with Him, my academics, my finance, my relationships etc. That His principles will guide my dail living.

I desire that God’s laws be written on my mind (that I am able to commit it to memory) and in my heart (that i am able to meditate and it become a part of me). It should be engraved in me.

I desire that the Word written to us Christians will become written in us so that the world can read us and see Jesus.

I desire that my head knowledge of the Bible be translated to my heart as a second nature, so that God’s ways will be my desire. (ref: 2 Cor 3:1-3, Heb 8:7-13)

I desire to experience the joy of Heaven and live heaven on earth.

What is your desire today and for the coming year?

More peace? Greater happiness? A stronger faith?

I encourage you, God’s word says “seek and you will find…” Matt 7:7. If your heart is sincere and open to God, He will grant you fresh release of His presence so that your walk with Him can be enriched and your life glorious.

I wish you the best of this season.

Good morning,

Can you Imagine how you’d feel if…

Everything around us has been designed to elicit reactions from all of us. An ice cream pack will make you hungry. A test notification makes you anxious. A call from home leaves you racking your brain, trying to figure out what’s up. A call ignored by a dear friend keeps you restless all day… the list is endless.

But you know, there are some things that just thinking about them raises goose pimples on my skin and make my nape hairs stand on end. Can you think of any?

… time up.

let me give you an idea:

Can you imagine how would you feel if one day, you returned from school or work and turned on the TV to the cable new station and the latest news on air is ‘multiple disappearances have been reported all over the seven continents…’

That’s hearing rapture on cable.. that’s the worst thing that can ever happen to man his whole life. waste of existence.

Sorry to scare you, but this scared me too when I first thought of it. But God spoke to my heart: “walk before me and be though perfect. Live right, according to my words and you have nothing to fear.”

Ever heard of rapture? Do you believe in Jesus’ second coming? No? He says He’ll come again for those who are His own: for He will descend from Heaven… the dead in Christ shall rise first…and them which are alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.

So friend, we should examine our lives daily and seek to walk circumspectly as a wise person, redeeming the time because the days are evil. (eph. 5:15-17).

What I’m saying looks like greek? Get in Jesus’ boat by getting saved. Secure eternal life. settle your scores with God.

Now, don’t be afraid to put on the TV. You’re reading my blog… that’s God’s way of giving you a chance to reconsider and adjust.

Will you?

May we fly with him,

Toluwanimi

Does God Have Favourites?

Why do some people’s lives reflect more of God than others? Why are some Christians living heaven on earth but others just barely struggle to keep their heads above the water?

I was trailing along this line of thought when an analogy popped into my consciousness:

Of my three plain pairs of trousers, which I bought all new, the blue one is my favourite.

Why? While the colours of the first one decided to fade, and the second one’s threading started to pull out, the third remained new and bright. So it became my favourite.

God bought us and washed us all new. Every Christian at salvation has the same status – adopted child – with great potentials. But after that, we decide the level of intimacy we want to maintain with God. And the deciding factor is OBEDIENCE.

“He who has My commandments and keeps then, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Jesus answered and said, “If anyone loves me, he will keep My word: and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”

-John 14:21 &23

God never changes. He is love and that love in itself is discretely absolute with no varying degrees. But the extent to which we experience God’s love is not dependent on Him (He does not partially bestow special favours on a select few); but it is dependent on us. You and me.

Like black gold ore rescued from the mine, we all were, with the potential to become shining gold. But some have remained ore, while others have begun the process of firing to become sparkling gold. Some have decided to maintain a quality Christian life while others have become counterfeit and diluted in their principles.

Some people are of the opinion that God has favourites.  I think they observed that God draws nearer to the people who initially draw nearer to Him and seek to please Him through faith to make that conclusion. This isn’t favouritism. God is not partial. He has given us His word that “draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8). And He is true to His word.

Have you remained on the fringes of the palace or have you dared to enter the throne-room? Have you decided to steer clear of sin and follow the highway of righteousness or you are still lingering long in in Temptation Avenue? You know what happens to people who do that: they get invited to sin banquet where the devil is the Chairman of the occasion, fun is the appetizer and death  is the main course. You don’t usually live to eat the dessert.

“But on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.” Isaiah 66:2

That’s God saying there that you will start to experience heavenly communion and love when you are humble, contrite and reverently responsive to God’s word (what He has to say!).

“… and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Do you know that because my blue trouser remained quality, I started to wash and rinse it separately from others and with greater care.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:10

That is what God does to anyone who responds to him call. No one has been predestined to be favoured of God. In fact, we all have equal chances. But we can experience a greater dimension of His love, and we can live a favoured and fulfilled life: if we decide to delight in His presence and grow daily in Him.

Then it’ll just look like we’re God’s favourites. They won’t see the difference!

Preserved For You

A wealthy woman, while traveling overseas, saw a bracelet she thought was irresistible, so she sent her husband a cable, “have found a wonderful bracelet. Price $75,000. May I buy it?” Her husband promptly wired back his response: “No, price too high.” But the cable operator omitted the comma, so the woman received this message: “No price too high.” Elated, she purchased the bracelet. Needless to say, at her return, her husband was dismayed. It was just a little thing, a comma, but what a difference it made! Compare this to the fact that the exact meaning of the Bible’s message has been preserved down through the ages and that every part of it harmonizes beautifully. Unquestionably, the Bible is no ordinary book.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

A paraphrase version of the Bible puts this same verse like this:

For whatever God says to us is full of living power: it is sharper than the sharpest dagger, cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are.(The Living Bible)

And this Scripture was preserved for thousands of years for YOU. Will you start a DAILY BIBLE STUDY and prayer? God’s waiting to speak to you.
